I hope you are well and thriving in these busy times. I must say I miss our TTNEAP meetings @Jude Thompson!

Last Thursday, Tertiary Education Minister Simmonds announced the options for consultation for the future of the Vocational Education and Training System.

This email is to share the information regarding the options being considered and details of the consultation hui scheduled for the next few weeks.

There will be gatherings in 15 regions around the country, with in person and online options.  The VET options are outlined in this link ,as well as details for the submission process for feedback:

Here are the details for the Whangarei meetings which are scheduled for Thursday 15^th August 2024.

Northland

In person

Thursday 15 August – Whangarei Northtec – Whare Kai D200 and can be located via Gate 1 off Raumanga Valley Road.

• Session 1 – 2.30pm to 3.30pm (Purpose: to explain the proposals, with a greater focus on the ITP proposal).
• Session 2 – 4.00pm to 5pm (Purpose: to explain the proposals, with a greater focus on the industry training proposals).
