Ahead of today’s National Online Iwi and Māori Providers Hui, we wanted to ensure you had seen the announcement below of funding from Te Whatu Ora to support access to healthcare for whānau who have been most affected by the cyclone.

Th funding differs from area to area based on need. Decisions were based on information from providers, communities and whānau – please keep feeding through information on what is needed in your community.

Hauora providers in the relevant areas will have received direct communication that outlines the operational details of these initiatives. There will be local communications to ensure whānau are aware of the free services.

If you are working in these areas and haven’t had direct communication – and I know connectivity is still challenging for some – please check with your Te Aka Whai Ora Regional Director or your Te Whatu Ora Regional Wayfinder.
