Notice of Election of Trustees
Otangaroa Marae & Waitaruke Marae
Under the Trust Deed for Kahukuraariki Trust, notice is given that on Saturday 21 September 2024, by-elections will be held for one (1) Trustee from Otangaroa Marae and one (1) Trustee from Waitaruke Marae.
Nominations
Each candidate must, at the closing date for nominations, be recorded in the Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa Register as an Adult Registered Member (aged 18 years or over) of Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa.
Nominations open on Wednesday 26 June 2024 and close at 5pm on Wednesday 17 July 2024.
Nominations must be made on an official nomination paper available:
• by phoning the Returning office on 0800 922 822 or (09) 973 5212 during normal business hours;
• online at www.kahukuraariki.iwi.nz;
• by emailing the Chief Returning Officer on info@electionservices.co.nz.
Nominations of candidates must be received by the Chief Returning Officer no later than 5pm, Wednesday 17 July 2024.
Register to Vote
Kahukuraariki Trust invite descendants of Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa, aged 18 years or over, who have not already registered to apply for membership.
Registration forms are obtainable:
• by phoning (021) 607 393;
• by emailing admin@kahukuraariki.iwi.nz; or
• registration can be completed online at www.kahukuraariki.iwi.nz
Applications for inclusion on the Register for these elections close at 5pm, Wednesday 17 July 2024.
If elections are required, voting will close at 12 noon, Saturday 21 September 2024.
Notice of Annual General Meeting
An Annual General Meeting will be held at 9.30am on Saturday 5 October 2024 at Te Touwai Marae, Matangirau.
The results of the elections will be announced at the Annual General Meeting.
